The Payment Route Isn't Always the Easy Route

Morning, quick question for anyone who has dealt with online payments in Canada. I’m trying to understand the difference between a deposit option being listed and it actually working with a particular bank. Do you usually check your bank’s transfer limits first, or do you look at the payment rules on the gaming site? I once spent ages filling in forms only to discover my bank had blocked the transfer, which was a pretty boring plot twist. Also, are withdrawals normally handled through the same route, or can the method be deposit-only? Any practical things worth checking before signing up and making a choice?

Good question, because the cashier page can make everything look simpler than it is. I’d check three things before creating an account: whether your bank supports the transfer, the minimum and maximum amounts, and whether the method works for withdrawals too. A comparison such as the
TopCanadianCasinos Interac list can give you a starting point, but don’t treat an old guide as the final word. Interac Online was discontinued in 2024, while e-Transfer is a separate service, so the wording matters. Read the current cashier terms and your bank’s limits, and never send money just to test whether a site works.
