Re: IWhich is prefferable to start from close leg(normal handstand) or open leg?
Hello Takashi, thank you for posting your question. The straddle handstand or keeping the legs in a split position are both a bit easier I would say. You can practice them to bring a bit of variety into your practice if you get too bored of only practicing a straight line. It is good practice to lea...

Re: Press to Handstand Weight Distribution
Hello, Thank you for postion your question and sorry for the late response. I will open a new sub forum for the Press course and will move this thread there. I see what you mean. Because in a handstand your lower back is very straight it is the equivalent of a pancake stretch with an extremely strai...

Re: Episode 6 (and 5)
Hello Karolina, Thank you your question. You mean jumping into straddle and tuck right? For both, you really need to round your back a lot as you start. If you have to start with your hands hovering above the floor, that is ok, if that gives you more momentum. The other way is to kick up into a norm...

Re: Episode4
Hello Karol, Yes, you can move on to the next week. You do not need to master every exercises, but it is important to see where your weknesses are (and your strengths too :)) and keep working on them. It may be that you are not lifting the hips enough to reahc all the way to the floor. The how to us...

Excellent, that sounds good.
Remember that it takes time to progress.
Learning a handstand is an exercise in patience too
Best wishes,
Natalie

Re: Episode4
Hi Katja, I see what you mean. Your shoulder mobility is not too bad! It needs a bit more work but especially in a handstand it opens up quite well and you don't compensate too much inthe handstand. I like your handstand position, your spine is quite curved both top and bottom so I would expect this...

Re: Kick up
Hello Micmic, Thank you for posting the video. Thank you Katja, for the detailed answer, which contains a lot of important aspects of the kick-up. And I agree, it takes time to learn a handstand! Micmic, you are straightening your back as your hands touch the floor. (you are bringing your chest clos...
